Vivian Garcia-Dolor is a mother with a four year old son and a wife of a fisherman. Their daily subsistence is dependent on the husband’s catch each time he goes out to sea. Vivian used to be a part time day care worker but is now a full time housewife taking care of their son. They live in a small sitio in barangay Makatunaw in the island of Pan de Azucar, which is a 40- minute pump boat ride from the town of Concepcion, Iloilo.

You can help the Iloilo victims of Typhoon Yolanda The Rotary Club of Metro Iloilo is spearheading an initiative to gather donations from other Rotary clubs, friends, and concerned companies and individuals for the relief of the victims of Typhoon Yolanda (international name: Haiyan). Days or weeks after the typhoon has struck, many victims whose homes and livelihoods have been destroyed, will still need our help.
